A check means the sandbox already holds that id (course 27 · student — · enrollment — · item —); a lock names a step that still needs an earlier id. Every id is kept in this browser and reused across both screens.

Step 1 · Course discovery

GET /courses/{grade_slug}/{semester_slug}/ — published courses of one grade and semester, with an optional subject filter. Pick a course to retain its id.
