Al-Sarawat and Tuwaiq: Two Strategic Projects Enhancing Naval Forces Capabilities

The Ministry of Defense announced the Al-Sarawat and Tuwaiq projects within its development program, aimed at building a modern naval force and raising operational readiness. The Al-Sarawat project includes manufacturing eight combat vessels of the Avante 2200 corvette class in two phases, while Tuwaiq includes building four multi-mission combat ships (MMSC) and developing King Abdulaziz Naval Base in Jubail. Both projects aim to transfer technology, localize military industries and build national capabilities.
