How it works

  1. Choose the university and the track or rule. The year, status and official source are shown next to it.
  2. Enter your scores on the 0–100 scales the rule uses. Nothing is sent anywhere.
  3. Read the weighted score and how each component contributes; switch to “Find the score I need” or “Compare” without retyping.

Verified coverage

Every rule below was read from the official page or guide named in its row on the verification date. Rules replaced by a later guide are marked historical; rules with an unverified detail are listed under gaps and not offered.

Not offered, or offered only as historical

  • King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals — Primary Admission Track (2027 intake): KFUPM's main track. The 2027 guide states that two tests contribute equally: 50% General Aptitude Test (Qudrat) and 50% KFUPM's own Tahsili Test (not the Qiyas Achievement Test). The guide does not state the score scale of KFUPM's Tahsili Test, so the calculation cannot be offered yet. KFUPM — Your Personal Guide to Joining KFUPM 2027 (PDF)
  • King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals — Primary Admission Track score scale: The rule (50% Qudrat + 50% KFUPM Tahsili Test) is published, but the score scale of KFUPM's own test is not; the preset stays unpublished until an official page states it.
  • King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals — SAT and Olympiad tracks: No weighted formula is published: SAT admission needs a minimum SAT of 1350 and is competitive; the Olympiad track admits international-olympiad winners. Neither can be expressed as a weighted score.
  • King Abdulaziz University — 1448/1449 distribution without a STEP score: The 1448/1449 guide prints only the diagram with STEP (30/30/30/10) and says STEP counts for applicants who hold it. What applies to applicants without STEP is not printed; the 1447 rule (30/30/40) is offered as historical, not as the 1448 rule.
  • Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University — 1448 rules page: The portal's rules page still names 1447 (verified 2026-09-23); a 1448 version was not found on the portal.
  • University of Tabuk — Official calculator page: The deanship's weighted-ratio calculator page is a JavaScript application without formula text; the published guides (1447 and 1448 PDFs) were used instead.
  • King Saud University — Official calculator page: darpc.ksu.edu.sa/CalculatePercentage renders in JavaScript with no formula text; the 2026–2027 admission guide PDF was used instead.

Worked examples (custom weights)

These examples use user-entered weights of 30 / 30 / 40 to show the arithmetic. They are not any university's formula; choose a university above for a published rule.

  • High school 95, Qudrat 85, Tahsili 80 with weights 30 / 30 / 40: 95×0.30 + 85×0.30 + 80×0.40 = 28.50 + 25.50 + 32.00 = 86.00.
  • High school 95, Qudrat 85, target 90 with weights 30 / 30 / 40: the Tahsili score needed is (90 − 28.50 − 25.50) ÷ 0.40 = 90.00.

Questions

How is the weighted admission score calculated?
Each component (high-school percentage, Qudrat, Tahsili and, where a rule counts it, STEP) is multiplied by the weight the university publishes, and the products are added: weighted score = Σ(score × weight) ÷ 100. Every component is on a 0–100 scale. The weights are taken from the official guide or page named under each rule.
Does the same formula apply to every university?
No. Several universities publish 30% high school, 30% Qudrat and 40% Tahsili, but King Abdulaziz University counts STEP at 10% for 1448/1449 applicants who hold it, KFUPM's vacancies track weights Qudrat at 50%, and some tracks use a different rule altogether. Always choose the university and track, and read the year shown with it.
Does a high weighted score guarantee admission?
No. Admission is competitive within the seats available, and universities also apply eligibility conditions (minimum test scores, certificate age, interviews, medical fitness). A weighted score tells you where you stand under a published rule; it is not an admission decision or a probability.
My school reports a GPA out of 4 or 5. What do I enter?
The rules here use a high-school percentage on a 0–100 scale. Convert your GPA only with the official conversion issued by your school or the university; this calculator does not guess one, because different schools use different scales.
Where do the rules come from, and how current are they?
Each rule names its official source (a university admission guide PDF or admission-portal page), the admission year it was published for, the passage it was read from and the date COSQOOL verified it. Rules that a later guide replaced are marked historical. Rules whose text leaves a needed detail unclear are not offered.
Is anything I type sent to COSQOOL?
No. Every calculation runs in your browser; no score leaves your device and nothing is stored on a server. If you switch on “Remember my scores on this device”, they are kept only in this browser and you can erase them with one press.
