The Role of AI in Education: Transforming Learning Experiences

Artificial intelligence plays a real but limited role on COSQOOL today. This article describes exactly where AI helps a student study, and where a tool that looks similar is deliberately built without it.
The AI Study workspace
Inside the student dashboard, the AI Study workspace lets a student open their own PDF or paste their own text and ask questions about it. From that material, it can also put together a summary, a set of flashcards, a quiz or a flowchart, within a daily allowance. The workspace reads the text inside a file; pictures, diagrams and equations drawn as images are not read, and when a PDF is not read in full, it names the pages that produced no text and offers to read the file again or replace it. A saved PDF or pasted text appears in the student's Materials list, where it can be kept before its scheduled deletion, selected for a conversation, or removed after a confirmation, so a student always knows which source a summary or quiz came from.
A lesson tutor and a study advisor, not a replacement for a teacher
Two further tools sit beside AI Study, and neither works the same way. Under a video lesson, a lesson tutor answers questions about the specific lesson being watched. Separately, a floating study advisor, named Fateen, Labeeba, Nuha or Dalil, helps a student find a page on the dashboard and plan their study time, rather than teaching a subject. None of the three grades a student's work, and none of them replaces a teacher.
What is deliberately not AI
Not every tool that helps a student study on COSQOOL uses AI, and COSQOOL is explicit about the difference. The Quran memorization tool is free with one free cosqool account: it lets a student choose a surah and a range of ayat, listen, hide words to test recall, and rate their own recall to schedule a later review. It does not use AI, and it does not listen to or assess anyone's recitation. In Kids Mode, Play & Learn offers general practice games for Grades 1 to 6 built around everyday skills; a game in progress is saved so a child can continue later, but the games are not built with AI and do not award a grade or a score. COSQOOL Labs offers prepared experiments in circuits, particles and cells for exploring a concept; they are not built with AI and are not graded. And the short quiz that follows most video lessons is prepared with that lesson in advance and kept separate from the Qudrat/Tahsili simulated exams, an ordinary comprehension check saved to My Progress, not something AI writes on the spot.
Keeping parents informed without AI
A parent who verifies their email and is authorized to see a student's account receives progress reports from the dashboard. That reporting is a regular feature of the platform, independent of the AI tools described above, and it works without needing an AI feature at all.
This is the current scope of AI on COSQOOL: real inside AI Study and its two companion tools, and deliberately absent from the Quran memorization tool, Play & Learn, Labs and the video-lesson quiz, which all work well without it.
